My Arcane Thoughts.

First I'd like to congratulate the Marketing team. Unbelievable job. Then the artist...Beautiful work. As for the cards themselves...both of my decks (Black and White) have warped already and this is day one. They seem to absorb moisture very easily. They remind me of the original Ghost Deck. These are not near the quality of The Shadow Masters. I had high hopes for these because I've wanted another all white deck for a while for shows.
I love E's Decks, The Shadow Masters, The Black Tigers, 1800's, and The Gaff decks are top quality decks. I'm also particular to the Split Spades Lions even though they are not E's. I'm not too sure about this card stock though. I am staring at both of my decks right now and neither is sitting flush on my desk. I wouldn't dare pull these out of my pocket after they've been in for a while.
I know I might get some friction from the hardcore fan but this is an honest open minded review for those who take all information into account.

WOW... very interesting. You can tell by looking at the pictures posted. I am waiting for my brick to come in and now i see this... GREAT.

The black one is pretty bad. The white one can be worked around very easily, since it's a simple curvature instead of something like the black is doing. If I remember I'll chime in when I get mine, or write a separate review. Out of curiousity, what were/are the weather conditions in the area? Humidity and heat in particular.

Yes, it is an open-minded review, and I'll be surprised if anyone bashes you for it.

As for the warping, one of my decks did that after the first day, then went right back to normal. Remember that humidity and temperature changes can affect any paper deck's condition.

It looks like you've been doing lepaul spreads, which will damage any deck....

I had shadow masters that warped on day 1.... heck I've had S&M's warping right now! Due to humidty. The condition of the cards will change from day to day.

I've got decks all over the place and none have done this so quickly. I have a Bicycle Raiders deck that I have been abusing for over a month now and it's still in great shape. Not the humidity.

Maybe it's just by chance? :\
Humidity seems like the only thing that could do such a thing. Or intense cold, but that's typically temporary...

Any other factors maybe?
Unless the stock is less resistant against humidity... I wouldn't know, Colorado's dry..

Well in my opinion I think it's too early to do a complete evaluation on the cards. I am deckreview from u tube and I did not even do a full arcane deck review. And all paper cards warp at some point unless you have a card case. In my opinion I think these cards are just better ghost decks because the red cards are actually red. These cards are tight quality wise so far. Can't wait to get my replacement one.

My decks are also warped, slightly but it's really too early for these cards to be warped right from the box.

I'll tell you what, if mine are warped when they get here, I'll let you guys know. If this proves to be a widespread issue, I'll never purchase another deck of cards from here again. They marketed them like "Wow! Look at the attention to detail we're putting in! There will be no mistakes here! We're AT the USPCC watching ever step of the process!!"

Woah there, all I can say is E has hits and misses, but they will do everything they can to make things right and fix the problems.

For example: The Viper deck, and the 1800's, both had problems at first and E listened to the E forum members and fixed things.

And now, both decks are superb! I prefer them to most anything else out there, except for the the DB lions.

Hype can be a bit of a double-edged sword. But I'm much less likely to get upset with a miss because E's customer service has always been outstanding for me.

Couple of things to keep in mind though. For starters, the Arcanes are using a brand new stock. So essentially what we are getting is Arcane Stock 1.0... and everyone knows the risks you take with 1.0 versions.

Second, E has said, and I've found this to be true, that the new stock is heavier than previous ones. And just picking up and Arcane deck and a Ghost deck and waterfalling them, you can definitely tell that the Arcanes are stiffer. Get a bend in a more rigid card and I would expect it to be more pronounced when sitting in a deck.

Personally, I haven't seen anything unusual in the decks that I have received, but if the warping turns out to be a common problem, then I'm pretty confident that E would give you a replacement and get together with USPCC to refine the stock design.

I live in the Pacific Northwest so we have our fair share of humidity and cold. Actually, this time of year there are pretty drastic changes in humidity from going outside in the rain to coming inside to a heated house/office.

I have had my black and white Arcanes for a couple of weeks and with the qualification that I am not handling them every day, they do not seem more warped than I would expect. Now that I have seen your pics, I do notice thart my white Arcanes seem more prone to this than the black. But in my case, that means my whites have a slight bow and my blacks sit flat.
