Why are Jerry's Nuggets so...

Can you guy please explain to me why are Jerry's Nuggets playing cards are so popular?

What is it that makes them attractive?
Is it the logo?
Is it the background?

What is it?

I've heard that they are supposed to be excellent quality. Last for ages, when I say ages I mean a long long time.
Thats what I heard from somewhere anyway.
Oh, and also they are not made anymore, so they are like a collectors item... kind of like the black ghost deck I suppose.

this may not be the number one reason but i assure you it is one of them. DAN AND DAVE. the buck twins use these cards.

The cards are popular with knowledgable cardmen, because they're very good quality. The cards were very difficult to break in, and very stiff, but once broken in, they were good for ages. The cards are only finished on one side so doubles stick very well.
These cards were a favorite of, and can often be seen in the hands of Dai Vernon himself. He uses them at times throughout the revelations series. He has also been known to use the "Golden Nugget Gambling Hall" cards from the same era, which had an identical stock and finish, only differing in back design.

So, they're popular because they're good cards, and very attractive as well. the Red and Blue on these decks is very beautiful.

The reason they're so expensive however, is different. They're expensive because alot of young magicians have seen people they very much admire using the cards, and they'd like to own them as well.

also, the demand for the cards is higher, and taht means people will pay more for them. like gas. the demand gets higher so companies decide to raise the price, and what happens, people still buy gas. so as the demand for jerry nuggets gets higher, the price will go up. it is all about how mcuh people are willing to pay for them.

I've always wanted to get a deck of them -- I am a collector, after all. But I won't pay more than $20 for a deck. So I'll find another way to get 'em.

They were on sale, at one time, though the casino, for about a half buck...and they could not move them. So, you tell me.

(mind you, I was told this. I never saw them on sale myself)

my story..I asked Adam Grace, (yes the creator of ringtone and frozen and many others) if i could have his autograph..so he sent me his autograph on a jerry nuggets card (10D)..i had no clue at that time what a jerrys nugget card was worth...but wow i am still soo thankful to Adam for that!!
